The Last Call

  Desnuda is one of those tequila brands that I’ve been excited to spend more time with because it falls a little outside the typical lineup of brands I get to experience here in Indiana. We have plenty of the familiar names, but finding something that feels a little more off the beaten path can be a challenge. After enjoying the Desnuda Blanco, I knew I wanted to come back and see what the rest of the lineup had to offer.      Tonight, we're moving up to the Desnuda Reposado, bottled at 40% ABV and aged for at least seven months. This comes from NOM 1480 and is made with 100% Blue Weber agave. It's USDA Organic, kosher certified, GMO-free, additive-free, and gluten-free. For me, the additive-free designation is particularly noteworthy because transparency around additives is something I really appreciate seeing from tequila brands. It is important to clarify this did not impact the ratings of this review.      Some bottles grab your attention because of the label. Others do it because of the story. Quinta Repr Tequila pulled me in instantly because of the process, and if you know me at all, you know coffee is part of my daily ritual. Quintaliza is still a relatively new name on U.S. shelves, but they are already making noise by doing something genuinely different in the tequila space. This isn’t novelty for novelty’s sake. It’s a thoughtful finishing process that actually respects the spirit underneath.      Quintaliza starts with tequila, naturally fermented for three days and double distilled.
